We were ready to be disappointed by Ubisoft's new portable Prince of Persia, largely because the protagonist bears a striking resemblance to an Oompa-Loompa. But the charming, colorful animations won us over, as did what appears to be a pretty full utilization of the DS's touch-screen capabilities.
It was then we realized what wasn't included in the trailer: Our almost comically meaty hands. Now we're in doubt that we'll be able to see any of the on-screen action behind our mitts, leaving us just as nervous about the game as when we started. So, we'll rely on your judgment: How's it looking to you?

EA Sports has confirmed an initial report that a demo of its arcade-style boxing game, Facebreaker, will be hitting Microsoft and Sony's download services shortly. More specifically, the Xbox 360 demo will be available on Thursday, July 31 with a PS3 version arriving a week later on August 7.
What sets this demo apart from most others is the approach EA is taking with regards to migrating user-generated content to the final product. Akin to the Spore Creature Creator, players will be able to generate their own custom pugilists and share them with others over the intertubes. The characters will also be accessible in the final version of Facebreaker, which enters the retail ring on September 5.
We're not certain how many months of grinding it took this anonymous cameraman (or woman!) to level up high enough to brave Square Enix's impenetrable fortress, but we do know our hero scored big. Nearly two minutes of Final Fantasy Versus XIII CG footage (shaky as it is) is like the equivalent of all the gil that's stuffed inside the Shinra vault. Better yet, it's aged footage, the type of mana-oozing fluff reel -- note the pretentious, clichéd text in italiano, ovviamente -- that's only ever been eye-balled by suits and trusted VIPs. So let us all take a moment of silence, and push from our minds the gruesome fate that must have befallen our dear hero in the final, and sudden instant that this video is abruptly cut short. Thank you, oh noble ally of the masses, your contribution will not soon be forgotten.
GameDaily BIZ got some details on the revenue sharing structure of the recently detailed Xbox Live Community Games. While we reported that developers could receive "up to 70%" of sales, Microsoft's Chris Satchell clarified the structure this way: "The better you're doing, the more we'll take." Sure, this sounds pretty cutthroat (newsflash: Microsoft is a business!) but the relationship here isn't dissimilar to traditional retail arrangements.
If your Community Game performs well, it will be plucked from the crowd and placed in the "storefront" where it should enjoy a great deal of promotion and, in turn, sales. Satchell says, "The game will spend most of its time at 70%, but if we're promoting you and you're getting more traffic, there will be a 10% to 30% marketing fee." Once it's out of the storefront - bam! - "you're back to 70% again." In other words, if you want more of your hard-earned ... uh, Microsoft Points to go to the Bobby Developer and not Johnny Microsoft, wait until things have settled down a bit and the game has left the storefront for the relative anonymity of the crowd. Then, swoop in, make your purchase, and consider The Man stuck.

If you've made it all of the way through XBLA's N+, we already know a few things about you. 1. You're a lot more hardcore than we are. 2. You have a lot more free time than we do. 3. You're probably ready for more. Good news on that last front: A 200-level, 200-point pack has just been dropped onto Xbox Live, according to official site metablog.
The site promises "there are 150 'easier' Singleplayer levels, which should ease the pain of those who have found N+ too difficult, and 50 Co-op Multiplayer levels, which should appeal to even the most hardcore N+ players." So hey, a little something for the both of us, how nice.
Straight outta’ Russia this guady sports whip has been entirely layered with rougly 40 pounds of pure gold. Elaborate designs decorate the car’s exterior and the spoiler is also embellished too. What does 40 pounds of gold do to the performance? Well the Porsche Carrera can still reach 289 miles per hour with its 3.6-litre [...]
Emaculate lyrics and meticulous productions always make for a beautiful thing. Now we heard about Stonesthrow’s “Sniperlite” project featuring Ghostface Killa & MF DOOM about a month ago, and here’s our first look at it. So whats your impression? Do MF doom & J Dilla embody Vaseli Zaitev & Bob Lee Swagger?

We haven’t heard anything about the iRing concept since it hit the internets last September, and it seems the designer is still attempting to get it into production. If you don’t remember, or haven’t seen our previous post, go get abreast on this wireless Bluetooth iRing concept, that’ll connect and commandeer your iPod/iPhone.

Wu-tang’s Genius takes it back to the good ol’ days where beef stayed on wax, and who won was decided by superior wordplay. ‘Paper Plates’ is the first leaked track off of the album (in stores August 19th, 2008, album cover above) and the tenured MC completely eviscerates his victim on this track — which [...]

So it's been 3 months now and I haven't touched my Wii since beating Marverl Ultimate Allience. The Wii just isn't getting my attention. The games I've gotten for it I just don't enjoy, and other then boxing and bowling there isn't much else on the Wii I want to play. I'm really disappointed in my user experience with the Wii. I thought it was going to really be g… Continue

Indie video games have really taken off. And while there is a huge opportunity for minorities to break into the video game market with a killer inide game no one has yet to take on the task. Would it be cool to see an indie title on the Wii about old school hood games we use to play. Like stick ball and double dutch..I think the Wii would be a perfect platform for that type of game. Marc Ecko gave it a good try but he wasn't really able to make a huge impact on the industry. But he has recently… Continue
